Osteoporosis Screening

Osteoporosis is often referred to as the silent thief because a broken bone is frequently the first sign of the disease. If undetected, this can lead to further fractures and complications that rob people of their independence.

Our team’s ensures that all seniors and adults at risk for falls and fractures are screened, and provided in-house counseling on preventing and managing osteopenia and osteoporosis.

We are also pleased to partner with The Arthritis Program to give our patients additional education and skills to better self-manage bone health through, diet, medications and exercise.

Requirements: must be an enrolled patient at the FHT and 50 years of age or older
